CONFIDENCE FROM THE GROUND UP
During this clinic, participants will continue the key steps in developing a good foundation with a horse from the 'Groundwork Essentials' clinic. We will help you learn how to take the skills learned on the ground and transition them up into the saddle, providing more understanding and confidence in both horse and rider. You will learn: how to yield both the shoulders and hindquarters, introduce cues through the saddle, the effects of weight and balance, lateral flexion and bending by suggestion. An ideal starting point for horses and riders of all levels.
UNDER SADDLE - Flatwork
During this clinic, participants will build upon their skills learned in 'Confidence From The Ground Up' and begin to introduce the first steps of positive and suggestive schooling. Here you will advance your practice in flatwork towards lateral movements, masterful yielding, flexion on both reins, balanced circles and willingness in transitions. We will also help you learn how to ride from your seat and the key cues to create a perfect harmony for you and your horse.
UNDER SADDLE - Jumping
Jumping with your horse doesn't need to be a struggle or mean you need bigger/ stronger bit, gadgets or gizmos for control. It can be fun an enjoyable for everyone with positive and responsibility based training. During this clinic, participants will build upon their skills learned in 'Confidence From The Ground Up' and begin to develop an attentive and willing partnership with the horse over jumps.
BITLESS TRAINING
During this clinic, participants can learn how to transition or start their horse through bitless training. We will help you learn how to teach seat cues, lateral flexion and transitions without the bit. We use a variety of bitless options depending on what suits you and your horse best. We believe bitless is an essential skill for all horses regardless of if they use a bit or not or are competing - the body and mental focus gained through bitless training assists in all aspects of riding, trust building, responsibility and connection.
WOAH BOLTERS
This clinic is for the horses who have more 'go' than 'woah' - for those who need help with horses prone to bolting, rushing during flatwork or jumping, napping or nervousness. Participants can learn how to help a horse relax and look for the right path with a calm mindset. We will help you teach your horse how to be responsible for the brakes instead of the gas pedal.
TAILER LOADING PALOOZA
Does your horse refuse to load? Be it spooking and diving off the ramp, parking his feet, rearing, bolting or even rushing onboard (or off) - then this clinic if for you. In this specialised groundwork session we will go back to basics and build your horses confidence with the trailer. We'll looking at things from his point of view and follow natural horse psychology to help you make the trailer a positive space where your horse will WANT to be.
SPOOK BUSTING
WORKING EQUITATION & GARROCHA
During this clinic we will focus on introducing you to the exciting sport of Working Equitation! Learn how to develop the perfect working partnership with your horse by putting all your schooling a dressage practices into a purpose with traditional ranch based obstacles and activities. Learn how to manoeuvre and gain finesse in each obstacle building towards "Ease of Handling" and eventually the "speed Round".
In the Garrocha Clinic we will introduce you and your horse to the Garrocha Pole - a 4m long piece of equipment to assist in training precision and accuracy in your schooling movements. The Garrocha is the test for both horse and rider working towards harmony and a true ridden connection.
BRIDLE-LESS RIDING
Have you ever dreamed of having the ultimate harmony with your horse? The "Black Stallion" moment that inspired horse lovers everywhere gain true freedom, communication and choice by riding your horse without the bridle. This is completely possible! We will help you on your journey to achieving this partnership with specialised sessions. We will go over the process and requirements in teaching your horse the fundamental steps towards eventually removing the bridle. Starting on the ground and moving up into the saddle - we will cover how to teach the essential stop and turn cues, disengagement of the hindquarters, circles and the back up.
