FAQ'S
Please find all our Frequently Asked Questions below. If you have a question we haven't covered, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Do you offer Part, Assisted or Full Livery?
No, all our options are DIY only. Liveries are expected to see to their horses at least once per day and assist with yard cleanliness, water top-ups & poo picking. You are welcome to organise outside help at your own responsibility.
Do you provide bedding, feed or forage?
No, we do not provide this - however liveries regularly get group deliveries from local feed suppliers and either split the costs of hay/ haylage or buy their own bales.
What are your entry requirements for new liveries?
We ask that all new horses have a worm count and are wormed if required.
We also require a negative strangles test result.
We will quarantine new horses for 2 weeks before being steadily introduced to the herd, a turnout area will also be provided during this time.
Are Dogs welcome on the yard?
Yes! Well behaved and horse friendly dogs are welcome on the yard. However this is at the owners own risk and responsibility. Dogs must also meet the approval of our own dogs.
Do you offer Trailer Parking?
Trailer parking is very limited with space for only 2 or 3 regular trailers - we do offer it at an extra cost (£10 per month). We do NOT have space for lorries, large trailers (equitrek/ Fautras) or 3.5t boxes.
Do you offer individual turnout?
No - we strongly believe horses are happiest when living as part of a herd.
Do you accept Stallions?
No - We are not equipped to facilitate Stallions.
How do you manage worming?
As the horses with us are kept as a herd, we routinely test throughout the year then worm horses accordingly as individuals following the 80:20 rule. New arrivals are worm counted and treated if required. Owners are required to purchase their own tests and wormers for their horses - these can be ordered from us to ensure horses are kept to schedule and reduce worming risks.
